No Nodes?

Postby Chip on Sun Aug 29, 2010 11:09 am

Okay, so I downloaded the beta version online (not at the Stykz website) because I didn't know there was a fully released one. I did some animating and googled the website, then realized the full 1.0 version came out. When I opened up one of my .stk files and tried to animate, there weren't any nodes. Just the little orange dot you use to move the stickfigure around. I also try to click and drag at where the nodes are and it doesn't move the stickfigure. It worked fine in the beta, but now the full version is messing up. Can anyone help?

Version 1.0 isn't out as far as I know.. And which stk did you use? Maybe they made it so that the nodes don't show up. Did it work fine on the previous version you downloaded?

Well, I'm using the one that's on the website. I didn't know it was a beta... anyway, I'm using a .stk that I designed on pivot, but none of the .stks I use at all have nodes. Neither do .styk files. And yeah, It did work fine on the previous version I downloaded, but I forget exactly where I downloaded it or what version it was. I'll try to find it again and see if it works, because I deleted it when I got this version.

Ok.. I think I might have an idea of what's going on.

Go into the option on the menu bar titled "view" and select "show nodes on top" sometimes it bugs out so you might have to hit it twice.

Oh, sweet. Thanks, it's working now. And just in case you were wondering, I was using release candidate 4.

No problem. *;)*

And version 1.0 should come out pretty soon so be prepared when it does.

And I don't even know why we have an option to keep nodes in the back.. Seems kinda pointless to me.

I didn't know you could keep nodes at the back in Pivot... I didn't remember it anyway.

that's because it was that way by default in Pivot. Pivot barely had any options, Stykz has options.
