i always used transparent windows for 3D in pivot, so i can see where and how much i have to edit
i dont really think it would be useful, for what would you use it? jsut for tracing and tracing is not animating, its just tracing
i'm afraid of seeing hundrets of traced "animations" in the future, which have no skill at all..
also, i never saw any good animation in any higher rank, that just was traced o_O

for 3d you dont need transparent windows in stykz, you got the onionskin for it

so whats the use of it?

anyways i am against it ,_,

No, no, no.

You would not use it to rotoscope an animation. You would use it for styk making.

I guess you COULD use it for animating, but most likely it wouldn't turn out very well.

For once, I actually agree with the Pivot point of view. Plus it would contribute to bloat.

I only ever used a transparent window to make the outline of a styk. I never used it for tracing other animations or for adding detail.

But I don't really think it's fair to not add a feature just because some people could potentially abuse it, but I see your point and I wouldn't ever want to see somebody trace another animation.

That's not quite what Wind3h means... She means to like play a scene from Matrix and trace everything on the stage.

Oh.. now I see what you mean. Yeah, that could be a problem also. :\

There has to be some way that we can limit their ability to add so much detail while still keeping the ability to have a translucent stage..

Well, one way to do that would be to maybe include this plus a few other features in an add-on pack that you'd have to pay for. Even something small like five dollars would keep out a bunch of people who would abuse the feature if it was free...

While I like that concept, I wouldn't like paying for an add-on.

There would definitely be other features in the add-on pack if they're going to pay $5 for it. We might start a new topic just to discuss that sort of thing.

But anybody willing to pay for the add-on pack would most likely be serious enough about animating to not go insane with noob techniques, so I could see how that would be a good idea.
