The absolute begginers guide around Stykz (Forums)

Postby Chris on Sun Mar 15, 2009 4:11 am

High, I'm Chris and I will be writing this tutorial on how to get around the fourms here. Now before I go anywhere on this, I'm gona point out the rules. These rules you are to be abiding these at all times and if not, you will get warned. If you ignore warnings you will get a temp ban. If you get banned after receiving a temp ban, you will get a perma ban.

The Rules
Because the forums may be visited by anyone (including younger kids), anyone posting to the forums needs to abide by the following do's and dont's:

DON'T:
  • use profanity or racist/sexist/etc. comments in your posts
  • include porn or links to porn in your posts
  • include any serial numbers/torrents/warez/etc. in your posts
  • post spam of any kind
  • use leetspeak
  • include any blatant advertising in your sigs/posts
  • double-post or post the same message in multiple forums
  • mini-mod (act like you're a moderator when you're not)
DO:
  • have respect for all forum users, including guests/noobs
  • try to stay on topic, and try to keep from posting irrelevant/off-topic comments
  • make relevant suggestions for improvement of Stykz
  • submit bug reports (be as clear as possible in your description; include a recipe if you can)
  • post cool examples of anims you've made
  • ask questions, especially if you don't understand something
  • encourage and support other Stykz users

Most of all, have fun!

This is great, Chris... the only thing I'd change would be that it's going to be a while before we consider adding additional mods; the forum will need to get a lot busier IMHO before that happens. Also the rules are available at the top of every forum and every post you're composing in the pink bar at the top of the page.

Yeah I realize that. For the mod thing, I put that in there so people will go 'OMFG I can be a Mod if I'm good' Then everyone will be good and the forum will be perfect. Also, I never notice'd that pink bar :\. I'll keep them in there, mainly because not many people read the rules, hopefully this will give them the chance.
