Do you have an picture/example of what you're talking about? I'm not sure I understand completely...

Overlapping onion skin-Image

Okay so frame 1 and frame 2 have difference. Since there's mass of the blue(water)I wanted to make sure it looked as much of water as I could by effect wise. with a overlapping it allows for me to adjust my the animation as I seem fit. To make the onion skin look like i did, I used the color blend option in paint.net. But yeah that was my idea.

Just so I understand - are you suggesting that there be a way for the onionskin of the previous frame to be ON TOP of the onionskin for the current frame instead of BEHIND it which it is currently?

yes, but just with a short cut key we could switch it for just that one frame and then when we click enter, it could go back to normal way with the onion in the back.

Cool idea, but it'd be better if you could also select one object's onion to appear over or behind so it's not all jumbled.

Actually, that's a great suggestion, JerK, and I didn't even think about it, but now that I do, I want this feature in.

Re: .jokers Requests:Update-coloring groups of nodes

Postby .joker on Sat Feb 27, 2010 10:17 am

Now I know this may tie into layers which may incorporate later in the builds, but I now sometimes we have say for instance guitar manglers cape crusader. sometimes I find when animating it, the segments are beneath it and of course nodes are selectable through it. The problem is that The cape it's self has nodes and sometimes I can't figure out instantly which node is which. Since We may have several segments that can be the arms and legs, maybe be able to color certain groups of nodes a different color to distinguish between which is which.

This is quite similar with the bone tool in flash, even though you can go through an entire layered figure with different parts, but each time you make a new bone tool selection it randomly makes the nodes a different color per bone figured..

You know you can check to show nodes in layers, right?

I'll add it to The List in the "Considering Implementing" section... not sure what issues that might create yet...

Right - the default is "Show Nodes in Front" (see the View menu), but if you uncheck that, then the nodes are in layers with the segments they're attached to.
