Dockable Palettes

Postby stykzman on Thu Sep 17, 2009 9:42 pm

I know a lot of apps use dockable palettes, and my plan is to add them to Stykz 1.5. But my question is:

What app do you think has the best dockable palette implementation that you've used, and why?

Maybe? This is your opinion of the best implementation you've seen. Do you think Flash's is the best you've seen? And if so, what makes it so good?

Thanks for the feedback. But what version of Word are you talking about? And are you talking Mac or Windows? And what do you like about it?

Something like Skype/Steam. Both of them ifyou drag the window within like 15 pixels of the screen's edge, it snaps to the edge. That's how I envision dockable windows, except they would dock to each other.

And maybe add a feature to lock the palletes in place but drag something else to move the whole thing at once.

Easily the adobe programs. I think it's what makes them so great. You can manipulate them in so many different ways. Oh and I'm talking about CS4, download a trial if you need to.

By far the BEST dockable palettes.

I like how there are so many ways to group them in Flash.

The mac version.

You can move the little tabs that have all this extra stuff and connect them instantly. Its kinda fun.

OK, so after looking at Flash CS4 what we're really talking about is several possible features:

They are all useful. There can be a maximized Stykz now. :O

The the work area outside the actual stage and zoom will be the features I will look forward after the single Window Stykz implementation.
