Last year a had a really frustrating experience with OpenShot.
It used to crash once every 5 min, and I am not exaggerating.
I couldn't believe how could a program be released to the public with so many constant crashes. I tested it in Ubuntu, Fedora, OpenSuse, Arch Linux... but OpenShot still refused to NOT crash.
And OpenShot itself is not very good: it lacks some obvious functions you would think of a video editor and has a lot of bugs.
Good thing we have Kdenlive!
