Less features means there is less to learn, but easier means it's simpler to use. Having more features but a better design would make up for having less features but a worse design.

Well said, elios... That's why I am so focused on making Stykz as intuitive an easy to use as possible. So I'm always open to suggestions for how to make I easier.

:stykz:

well one thing isthat box with the colored boxes when you click a figure with the select tool... I don't get that

You mean that alignment buttons? Yeah, I need to make that easier to use. The idea is that you select the figures you want to align, then click the T/M/B and/or L/C/R buttons to make the graphics in the big button show the alignment you want, and then click the big button to make the alignment happen. So if you wanted to align your figures by their bottoms, you'd select the figures, click "B" (and see the graphics in the big button align to the bottom of the big button), and then click the big button.

BTW: The alignment is based on the first figure selected, so if you have three figures and want to align two of them based on where one of them is, you select that one first, and then the other two, and then align them.

I'll start a thread about picking a better alignment interface...

No, less features = less potential.

I think Stykz is a great program. My personal opinion is that Stykz beats pivot. I found pivot to be old and not that exciting which has stopped growing. With Stykz, this program has moved on and is growing little by little. I find stykz better than pivot but you cant deny the amount of pivot users out there. Yes, pivot leads in users and usaged but has stopped its growth. Stykz makes it nice to were it will accept pivot files. I find that great because it will help convert many to the new. Stykz is easy to use with great features. Stykz for me. I see a bright future for this program and a lot of potential. Keep it guys. :)

I think that the reason why I'm better at this than pivot is the community. IDK, I guess pivot doesn't really have one anymore. Truth is, I would've never figured out easing or anything like that without this forum.

Pivot has two large communities - Droidz (just click to their forum) and DarkDemon.

Pivot has a larger community than Stykz. But I'm glad you like us!

The Stykz community is kinda small...

But we make up for it with enthusiasm!
