FORUM IS NOW ONLINE GO TO /forum AND REGISTER NOW

So I just had a great idea for a forum.
First, some background:
When I play games, I just play them. Once I've gotten used to a game, that's as good as I get. I'm not that great at practicing playing games or improving my performance once I'm fully used to it. Sometimes, for a little while I determine to find my faults and fix them, but it never lasts.
So my idea is this:
A forum based solely on recording gameplay (mostly online), and posting it. Everyone else on the forum constructively criticizes your performance, pros give you tips, you get your name and skills out in the open. The problem is that we would all but need pros to critique. Maybe even have a critique team, and everyone else ONLY submits.

tl;dr:
ANYWAY, the point is, a site where you can get criticism on your gameplay performance would be awesome.

ProGamerTips.net is a website for gamers where pros hang out and critique gameplay videos/screenshots. It is also a general game discussion forum too, but the center is posting videos or screenshots of your gameplay and having your skills assessed and getting tips to help improve. There will be a forum and a main site, both of which will be tightly integrated. The main site will focus on news and updates by administrators and on members' profiles. Each member's profile page will be the place you hang out. There will be a mini-blog, a comments system, and a place for you to upload your gameplay videos and screenshots. There will be a videos section on the main site where newest videos will always be displayed and most popular/featured videos will be showcased. There will be somewhat strict rules as to what counts as a gameplay video. At first, with our hosting, all videos will be embedded YouTube uploads, as some hosters would not appreciate hosting thousands of videos on their servers.
Currently, ProGamerTips.net is under construction in the planning phase, but a preview site will be up soon hopefully. A simple forum will be available for everyone to join and in the future will be integrated with the main page.

If you know PHP CSS and HTML and would like to help, PM me on this forum or on ProGamerTips.net's forum once it's up and I'll see what I can do. If you can get me a better hosting plan than the free one I'm currently using, please do the same to contact me as before.

I think they have sub-sections of forums for this (or forums dedicated to only one game), but an entire forum dedicated to improve the average player could be really cool! Are there any games that you had in mind specifically?

Great Idea, however the panel team would have to grow as the forum got bigger. So when the panel team spot someone they think is class they should then join the team. It's like DD for gaming.

Hehe, not really. :P

But I agree, the amount of professionals would have to grow at a relatively similar-ish rate as the average people.

I think a good ratio would be maybe 1:15 That may be hard to reach, though. :\

Not really, but it came to mind when thinking of Crysis.

EDIT: So If I got this started, who would be on board? I need initial members for it to be at all successful.

I would definitely join.

The only games that I am instructor worthy at is portal, and almost every single Lego game ever made (Seriously, I'm pretty damn good at them).

Portal would be a big one because people really want to learn how to improve their speed runs, least portal runs, least-step runs, etc.

If someone wants to buy me a domain, i'll do the rest. Sorry for asking someone to buy things for me, but I currently have no feasible way to buy a domain on my own. EDIT: Although I do know sites that offer free domains, but they are slightly below-average and never offer nice domains like .com or .net.

I can buy it if we decide a good one before-hand.

Go here to check the availability of a domain in case anybody else wants to help.

Edit: Boostyourscores.net is available.. I thought that one might work

Yeah but that sounds a little bit like a credit score boosting scam... But We'll see.
