End Stykz Process

Postby Hoboapple on Fri Jul 10, 2009 9:18 pm

For those having trouble ending Stykz, try this:

Open MS Notepad and paste this code in:
Code: Select all
Taskkill /IM Stykz.exe /F

Now, make sure you save the file as a BAT extension like EndStykz.bat or killtask.bat to your Desktop.
Everytime you want to end it's process, just double-click its icon and it will terminate Stykz immediately.

I hope this bug gets fixed soon :D

Open task manager and head to the processes tab. Sort by name and fine stykz. RMC and hit end process.

Another way is using that code in the run box. (Start > Run)

For Mac and Linux(bash based consoles) you could use
Code: Select all
killall Stykz

or
Code: Select all
killall stykz

And save it as killstykz.sh

I don't have a mac, so I want to see how this will work. It should work flawlessly, because they are both bash based systems, but Mac might have a different command.

For added info, Mac users have to use the app "Terminal". It's packed with the system, and you can search for it in the spotlight icon in the menu bar to find it. then type the top command that eilios put up.

Or you could just use alt/option-cmd-esc for force quit.

Okay. Mac users: take this file. put it in your documents folder, and then drag it into the lower/far right part of your dock. so whenever your computer acts up from stykz, just click this file.

killstykz.txt
click once on the image, then press enter. once the text is highlighted, just delete ".txt" and type ".term" in its place. (i can't upload a .term file)

There are already many different ways to force-quit stykz. They have been mentioned in earlier posts. Flameinpheonix, bumping a topic is against The Rules. Please brush up on the rules, if you haven't already. Topic closed.
