That comment belongs in the Got a Question section, but I guess I'll answer it.

This is how I learned everything about photoshop
1: Experiment. Try out EVERY SINGLE tool in Photohop, just to see what they do. If you don't like what it does, then don't use it. If you think the tool is useful, keep in mind what tool it is, and what it does.
2: Tutorials. Tutorials aren't there just to show you how to make something, they are GREAT resources for how to use a tool, and how some tools work. For instance, without a tutorial I would never have known how to use the pen tool, what linear dodge, colour dodge, and screen does, etc.

That's really about it... but definitely look up tutorials, they help a lot.
