Re: First animation with Stykz

-.- Let me explain the entire situation over again. I double posted not knowing that that wasn't what you are supposed to do. stykzman and ironmonkey told me that was the wrong way. I looked up the rules and saw for myself. After which was when MPK told me that I had missed the part about double posting. By that time I already knew and agreed.

EDIT:
Hegemon wrote:
Hm, your animations don't look like they were sent out at that frame delay, because it feels like each frame is staying a little too long. I don't know. Otherwise, the frame-rate is what you actually play the animation .stykz file. You change it in the "Controller" window (if it isn't there then click on the Windows tab up top, check all the rows). You also set the animation to loop there along with a few other functions. To set it to a permanent frame rate, do this:
Edit > Preferences > Speed and Timing. You can set the frame-rate and the .gif export frame delay. If you just got Stykz, there are tons of little ueful things in the preferences.

Ahhh, thank you. I see now. You are right for some reason the frame delay was set at 0 *:D* I must have changed it without thinking. Thanks for your help, much obliged. I like my frame rate at 10 though. It's what I've always had it set to. You're right there is a lot of good stuff in preferences.
Gonna edit the animation right now and see if it helps.

And it's really choppy.. What framerate do you use?

I now know that my frame rate is 10. Default I believe.

Ok lets not start a fight now but i agree with GM, what are you doing? You were told off for double posting and you have made about two since then and a triple one now. Stop!

Just for the record this was not a mini mod again.

Ohhhh, hahaha. I misunderstood. Lol lol, now I get it. Simple misunderstanding. I thought that you guys were still talking about the multiple threads. My apologies. I now know that double posting and multiple threads is different. Gosh. Strange rule though you must admit. My apologies to anyone I have upset. It was just unclear to me. Now that's embarrassing.
So, from now on, I must not make new posts consecutively.

It's all cool, everyone makes mistakes.

And I think 10 fps is a bit slow.. Most beginners animate at 16-20 fps and experienced animators will usually animate at 20-24.

So start experimenting with the frame rates and find what works for you.

10 is a very restrictive frame-rate. And if you export at a delay of 6, then it will come out 16-20 fps.

To me that sounds really fast, I guess it would make the animations smoother though now that I think about it.

To give you a bit of perspective, most movies are filmed at around 30 fps. And even that can seem really slow sometimes.

when you animate with 20-30fps the saying, "move every node every frame" doesnt apply. in fact no movement at times looks perfect.

All the animators on DD use that range, that's what Pivot 2 uses, and if you check my thread you can see what 18 fps looks like.
